Happy New Year Everybody,
Thank you all for the great e-mails about my first video, Knife skills blindfolded demo slicing.
We just posted another short video that I am sure you will enjoy.
This video shows in step by step detail how to carve a carrot tulip for garnishing platters and how to easily create a great centerpiece for your dinning or buffet table. This is a great way to get the children to participate and eat their vegetables.
In January every week we will be adding another short video at Food Arts home site Please visit www.foodgarnishing.com. to view these unique culinary demonstrations.
Soon Food Arts Professional knife skills CD will be available. This CD is truly one of a kind. Teaching an innovative approach to knife skills, safety, sharpening, selecting and how to cut all the specialty cuts and so very much more. This CD is destined to be a training CD for institutions and private use.
E-mail us now to be on our interest list at teacherfood@yahoo.com. The first hundred Cd's will be sold with at a large discount
FOOD for Thought
Food is like all the sculptors’ mediums and all the colors of a painter’s pallet. With all the wonderful textures, flavors and aromas food is the greatest medium to create art. For what is the purpose art if not to stimulate the senses. Food properly prepared and presented can stimulate the sense of sight, smell, taste and touch and even sound as the sounds of the gathering.. In addition, If the food is prepared by a cook who has the insight into its medicinal and nutritional values a 6th sense, the sense of fulfillment and a feeling of euphoria after a very satisfying meal.
FOOD is more than a mere sustenance.
happy Garnishing
